Our company structure is well defined, with clear lines of management and communication. Our culture is to employ personnel with a wealth of professional and technical expertise, including health and safety, personnel, marketing, accountancy, quantity surveying, estimating and a central buying department. In our Construction division alone we directly employ over 250 qualified and experienced staff and our commitment to ongoing training sets us apart from many construction companies with over 90% of staff holding CSCS certification and all Site Managers undertake a 5-day Site Safety course.
In addition to our Head Office staff, we employ a large number of trades who work on-site, including bricklayers, joiners, gangers, general labourers and plant operatives and we directly employ our drivers. Over 75% of our gangers can read drawings and all are 'problem solvers' and we are proud to have a low rate of operative turn-over; 85% have been with us for over 10 years and they all appreciate the Story 'can do' ethos.
Everyone in the company has a firm belief in providing a job to the client's satisfaction and, as such, all Story managers take full ownership of their projects and have a pride in their successful completion.
