Rutherglen Park, Glasgow

July 08 saw the start of this design & build industrial/commercial development in the south east of Glasgow.

Ideally located adjacent to the new M74 Motorway Extension, the Glasgow South East Regeneration Programme and the 2014 Commonwealth games site, the success of the development was inevitable.

The two portal frame structures, each housing four separate units were, with a willing client, subjected to value engineering and design development resulting in a commercially beneficial, state of the art project utilising new materials and construction techniques to achieve compliance with newly implemented standards and legislation. Close work with sub-contractors and product manufacturers achieved certification of products now available to the global market.

The financial impact of the recession resulted in the Story Group purchasing the site and taking on the financing of the project in a joint venture with Scot Sheridan. The development was subsequently sold upon completion to Clyde Gateway Regeneration.
